Move it or Lose it!

Has chronic joint pain and tightness kept you from doing the things you love.   Keeping a high level of mobility is essential to being healthy and happy.   It is extremely important to improve range of motion so you can live your life to the fullest.

Understanding Range of Motion

Range of motion is the mobility of the joints in your body, measured in degrees of a circle.  If you’re healthy and mobile, joints maintain a normal range of motion that enables you to move freely, carry on day-to-day activities and simply enjoy life.  Injury either by repetitive stress or trauma, obesity, incorrect posture, lack of movement, aging and spinal issues may impair your range of motion and flexibility.

Stay Active, Live Life!

Many seek treatment in our office for common problems like back pain, neck pain and joint pain.  As chiropractors it is our mission to look past the pain and analyze the function of joints.  After all altered function will often show up well before pain.   Pain is often a late stage symptom of poor function.  It is the purpose of regular chiropractic care to help maintain and retain your health, regardless of your age. Besides, normal range of motion is a must for any athletic performance!

Maintain Your Range

How can we maintain our ability to turn and bend as we were designed?

Exercises.  These movements can improve your range of motion and reduce pain. There are both active and passive range of motion exercises that work on strengthening your joints and muscles.  As many of our patients can attest to the vast majority of our patient will recieve excersizes and homework.  Whether these exercises are designed to strech strenghten or stabalize an area of your body they are ultimately to mantain and enhance the results achieved in a clinical setting.

Traction.   In our office we will often prescribe traction to help strech adhesed or poorly structured ligaments to more optimal position.   Ligaments are like rubber bands that keep our skeletal structure alighned.  Over time postural changes can strech these ligaments to suboptimal positions.   Traction helps retrain these ligaments and return them to their optimal position.

Regular chiropractic care. Chiropractic care helps keep your neck, joints, and limbs mobile and flexible. We’ll work with you to restore your normal range of motion. Often, chronic ailments are healed while addressing pain issues because the normal range of motion is restored.
